New Benefits Give Chamber Membership More Value

New Tiered Dues Membership Structure

• Effective January 2006, the Chamber implemented a new membership investment formula. The previous dues structure was based on the number of employees rather than the member's needs for products and services. Tiered Membership offers eight (8) different levels to choose from with each level clearly identifying the products and services it offers. Each increase in level provides more benefits and is a better value than purchasing the same products and services separately.

New Benefits Include:

• Expanded Website - FREE business listings (both alphabetically and by business type), on the Chamber's website, plus a 40-50 word description about your business. The Chamber website received over 800,000 "hits" from over 80,000 different visitors in 2007.
• Montana Chamber Choices - NEW Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance - This fully-insured association plan is offered as a benefit to Chamber members. Plan requirements include current and continuing membership in the Chamber. Groups from sole proprietors up to 99 employees are eligible to participate. Nine plan options are available including seven with prescription coverage and optional vision and dental.
• Free inclusion in our new Chamber Recommends pamphlets. Specialized industry pamphlets are distributed to visitors, relocation requests and local Helenans. Only Chamber member businesses are included.
• Member-to-Member Discount Cards - Members receive Chamber cards to get special discounts from other Chamber members.
• U.S. Chamber of Commerce - With your enrollment in the Helena Area Chamber, now automatically enrolls you in the U.S. Chamber for FREE. Receive all of the benefits it has to offer at no additional charge. Some of the benefits the U.S. Chamber has to offer are:
  • FREE access to a variety of small business forms - invoices, contracts, business plans, day-to-day operation forms that can be downloaded, modified and used
  • Small business toolkit
  • Marketing tips
  • The Affinity Program - Exclusive savings on a variety of services and products. The savings in this program average $1,200+ per year including up to 20% savings on FedEx shipping.

• Monthly Newsletter - As a new member, we profile your business for FREE in our monthly newsletter. 800+ leading area businesses and business people receive this newsletter, plus it is posted on the Chamber website.
• Preferred Business Directory & Membership Guide - This colorful magazine contains a wealth of information about the Helena area and has a distribution of 3,500+ copies. Members are listed twice for FREE! (Alphabetically by company name and by business class.
• Business Referral Service - Over 30,000 information & referral request are given out annually to tourists, relocation interests, the business community and the general population (all potential customers). Members are always referred to these inquiries!
• Discounted Advertising - Discounted advertising is only offered to Chamber members.
• Business After Hours - Held once or twice a month. Meet business people who care about Helena and could be new customers for your business. Enjoy refreshments and food.
